East Coast Freeze Out

Notice the linen underneath? I'm a California girl. At least the tropics are preferred, but I keep thinking all this cold is getting me ready for the UK. I leave 3/19, officially. She's got her ticket. I think she's gonna use it...think she's gonna fly away. The next leg of the adventure starts in 2 weeks. In the meantime... I'm making snow angels with my nieces, having snowball fights in fur & linen, and checking out my author brother on the trail.

Mama P & Me...could it be the wine?

My last days in LB were wild!!! Lots of packing, trying to sell stuff, and finding places to keep what I treasure most-I discovered I could let go of almost everything. Well.. at least til Mama Patty said, "Is that all you brought over?" See, she was sweet enough (or crazy...don't think she has quite decided) to offer her garage to store my precious things, which began as 5 boxes and ended up being a whole corner of the garage. Thanks Mama P!!!!

Jon was my lifesaver, organizer, mover wizard whose mantra, "throw that out", found its way to my mouth, but not my heart. I couldn't have done it all without him! Kevin, too. He delivered my favorite treats-champagne, caviar, potato vodka, specialty smoked meats-and, once again, filled his truck with my things.

The Ladies-Genie, Sandy, Fannie, Doris, & Miss Francis-gave me a smashing send off lunch party complete with champers and lots of laughter. In fact, it was their energy and collective gusto for life which reminded me how precious our time on the planet is.
